This month our team of volunteer Doctors have attended 31 incidents across Cumbria. They have covered Penrith, Barrow-in-Furness, Keswick, Langwathby and various locations on the M6 and M74.
Road traffic collisions attributed to 77% of the call-outs this month with falls and cardiac arrests being other incidents the team have treated. Casualties who rehire further medical assistance have then been transported by land or air to the relevant hospitals in the area.
The BEEP Doctors have treated 43 casualties during the 31 days of August and we wish them well in their recovery.
Please take care on the roads. Leave time to get to your destination and allow for bad weather as this can affect the roads and your vehicles grip.
