BEEP Doctors get online

November 1st, 2021

IT company, Logic Business Systems, have donated ten new iPads and IT solutions to the BEEP Doctors charity, as they move into a new headquarters in Penrith town centre.

The BEEP Doctors moved into their new offices at Agriculture House in Penrith in the summer. The charity has grown considerably over the last 12 months with more doctors across Cumbria, so the need for a new headquarters with better facilities was essential. The offices are a space for the team to meet and work from and store equipment. It is a central location for all doctors to work from with them being spread across the county.

However, there was a distinct lack of technology and systems in place to ensure the doctors would work more efficiently and that the charity could continue to grow and thrive. The BEEP Doctors have been doing a lot more fundraising in 2021 to ensure they have essential lifesaving kit for every doctor. Upon hearing about the fundraising campaign Logic Business Systems offered to help the team get set up with the technology they needed to run the charity more effectively.

The team at Logic Business Systems have therefore supplied and configured 10 managed iPads, donated a WiFi printer which has been installed at the BEEP Doctors’ office, they have set up email accounts for all the team and migrated them from their old POP3 email service to Office 365 and setup on iPads and have implemented a mobile device management system to manage all the devices remotely.

Ian Boyd, Business Development Manager commented
“We are thrilled to be able to help out the team at BEEP. It has been such a huge pleasure working alongside the charity and we’re excited to be part of their growth. We look forward to a long relationship working together.”

Not only do emails for all the doctors mean that they can communicate more effectively with each other, but the iPads will connect to some of the doctors’ equipment which will help them when they are on call outs. They will be able to see real time data in the iPads, which will help them monitor a patients condition and potentially help them save even more lives. They have not had this type of equipment in the past, so this is really life changing for the team.

Theo Weston, Chairman of BEEP Doctors commented,
“I would like to say a huge thank you to Logic Business Systems for providing us with these state of the art iPads that are going to make a huge difference to the BEEP Doctors and our charity. The new systems will bring us up to speed with our IT and tech capability. We are indebted to Logic and their huge generosity.”

The team of 14 doctors cover the whole of Cumbria and into north Lancashire and southwest Scotland on occasion. They have been called out to over 300 incidents across the county so far in 2021 and have saved numerous lives alongside the emergency services.
