During the month of June, our BEEP Doctors attended 35 call-outs, which is down in number from the month of May. 77% of these incidents were road traffic collisions, either between cars, motorbikes and cars or pedestrians and cars. On occasions, these call-outs resulted in multiple patients and this month saw two such accidents with 4 and 5 casualties who required transfer to hospital via road ambulance and air ambulance for further treatment.
We assisted patients who had fallen from heights and helped to stabilise them before being transferred to hospital for further treatment.
On several call-outs additional BEEP Doctors, who were in close proximity, also attended in order to assist.
Our fundraising is essential in providing this much-needed life-saving service and any donation you can give, is put to great use in helping the people of Cumbria when they most need medical assistance. Thank you.
