During the month of March, our BEEP Doctor team attended 42 emergency call-outs. 23 of these were road traffic accidents where they assisted to the casualties, who were subsequently taken to hospital by road or air.
Other emergencies which the team were called to included falls, burns, garden accidents and suicide.
Our team volunteer their time and have specialist training in enhanced pre-hospital emergency care to provide additional patient care that paramedics alone cannot provide. The BEEP (BASICS) Cumbria charity provides essential emergency care for everyone in Cumbria.
Do take care or yourselves and when out and about. We’re here for you, if you need us. If you would like to support our work please visit our fundraising page here.
