The month of May has been busy for our BEEP Doctors team. This month has seen a rise in call-outs with 47 in total across the county. The majority of incidents our Doctors attend to are road traffic collisions. This month this was 50% of the emergencies they attended.
Incidents included falls from roofs, falling down a ravine, gas explosions and cardiac arrests. Patients were treated at the scene with the emergency equipment provided by our charity and transferred by road or air to hospital for further treatment.
Sadly, there were 3 deaths this month and our deepest condolences go out to the families and friends of the people involved.
We continue to urge you all to please take care on the roads and to drive safely. Don’t take risks when out and about or doing DIY and look out for each other.
If you would like to make a donation towards our fundraising so each of our 15 Doctors can be equipped with a Zoll x-series monitor, you can do so here. Thank you.
