A BEEP Fund Doctor has been called by North West Ambulance Service to the following incidents recently:
- Early hours of Saturday 12th October: BEEP Doctor call to assist NWAS paramedics at an address in Ousby where a lady in her 50’s had collapsed; advanced interventions were performed but despite their best effort she sadly passed away.
- 14/10/19 at 11.40: BEEP Doctor called to serious RTC in the middle of Penrith where an elderly female pedestrian had been knocked over by a car; she suffered very serious injuries and was treated at the scene with enhanced medical care procedures by the BEEP Doctor, the doctor/critical care paramedic Team of the Pride of Cumbria Great North Air Ambulance as well as paramedics from NWAS before being flown to the RVI Hospital in Newcastle.
- 16/10/19 20.40: two BEEP Doctors called to assist NWAS paramedics at the scene of an RTC on the A686 near Edenhall, Penrith, where a minibus carrying 17 people had crashed & rolled into a field; thankfully there was only one casualty, who suffered relatively minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Carlisle.
